We all know that Aryabhatta is the greatest mathematician who belong to India. When his daughter Mayabati was in her teen age he discovered a problem. At that time the age of Mayabati was a prime number, let that age is a. After some years her age becomes b. then Aryabhatta was able to solve that problem with the help of his daughter Mayabati. If a-b=5 & product of a & b is 26 then what is the sum of squares?
Read Solution (Total 8)
-
- a-b=5
a*b=26
sum of two squares = a^2 + b^2
formula : (a-b)^2 = a^2 + b^2 - 2ab
(a-b)^2 + 2ab = a^2 + b^2
5^2 + (2*26) = 77 - 13 years agoHelpfull: Yes(60) No(3)
- given
a-b=5
or
ab=26
we know
(a-b)^2=a^2 + b^2 -2ab
puting the value of (a-b) & ab
25= a^2 + b^2 -52
a^2 + b^2= 77
ans - 13 years agoHelpfull: Yes(9) No(0)
- (a-b)^2+2ab=a^2+b^2
so answer is 25+52=77 - 13 years agoHelpfull: Yes(8) No(1)
- a-b=5 and ab=26 by using formula a^2+b^2=(a-b)^2+2ab vil get ans 77

- (a-b)^2+2ab=a^2+b^2
so answer is 25+52=77 - 13 years agoHelpfull: Yes(5) No(1)
- since a-b=5 and ab=26
so (a-b)^2 + 2ab= a^2 + b^2
so ans is (25+26)=51.... - 13 years agoHelpfull: Yes(4) No(31)
- its so simple... ans is 77...simple do square(a-b) = square(a)+square(b)-2ab

- The given ages might be 'A' and 'B' ( unwanted stuff) then ans would be 77, but as per ques if a is a teen prime number( say 13) and after 5 years it will be 18 , their multiplication 13 * 18 is not equal to 26.. COOL
