  area of pentagon is= (x^2)N/4tan(180/N)=1.724x^2
  area of rectangle is = L*B= (xcos18+xcos54)*(x+2xcos72) (after resolving the angle... inside angle of regular pentagon is 108..)
  area of rectangle is 2.448x^2
  area of pentagon=0.7042*area of rectangle..

• @sandeep- yes. i have assumed that the pentagon is cut from sheet very efficiently.. so the minimum area of rectangular sheet is left...
