• Still Water=12km/hr
  Downstream=45/3=15km/hr
  Upstream=>> still water=(u+v/2) =>> 12=u+15/2 = 9km/hr
  So time taken in upstream = 45/9 =5hrs

  Speed downstream = 45⁄3 = 15 km/hr
  
  Speed of the stream = 15-12 = 3 km/hr
  
  Speed upstream = 12-3 = 9 km/hr
  
  Time taken to cover 45 km upstream = 45⁄9 = 5 hours
