- no. of cubes(2 metre)per face = 16 so each face has 12 parts which have faces shared with other lateral sides of cube i.e left over 2m cubes on each
face = 16-12=4
no. of faces = 6
total 2m cubes with only one face painted = 4*6 =24
I am a learner if u find this solution wrong. U can always correct me. Thanks in advance. - 12 years agoHelpfull: Yes(17) No(4)
- on each side of the cube there remains 4 cube which are not shared by any other cube; since the cube has 6 sides, so total no of the cube which are painted exactly on a side is=>4x6=24

- length of cube=8 mts
length of each small cube=2 mts
now consider n=8/2=4
so, total no.of small cubes=n^3=4^3=64
no.of cubes have paint on exactly one cube=12(n-2)=12*2=24 - 12 years agoHelpfull: Yes(4) No(1)
- total number of cubes with one side painting is given by 6×(n−2)2. Here side of the bigger cube is 8, and small cube is 2. So there are 4 cubes lie on an edge. Hence answer = 24(n=4)
