There are two sets A = {1,2,3,4} and B = {3,4,5,6}. We have to select 1 number from A and 1 number from B. Probability to get the condition in which number selected from A is greater than the number selected from B.

• There are 16 possibilities of selection but only one possibility (4,3)is desirable .
  Hence probability = 1/16
  The possibilities are
  1,3
  1,4
  1,5,
  1,6
  ..
  ....
  4,3.......only desirable possibility
