Find the greatest 4 digit number that satisfies the following condition's
1)The number divided by 10 gives reminder 9
2)The number divided by 9 gives reminder 8
3)The number divided by 8 gives reminder 7
4)and so on....

take L.C.M of numbers(2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10) = 2520
for that we are not checking 1 so 2520 - 1 = 2519
so the next possibility after 2519 is 2519 + 2520 = 5039
after 5039 the next possibility is 5039 + 2520 = 7559
so the four digit numbers that satisfy the conditions are
1)2519
2)5039
3)7559
so the greatest four digit number is 7559....

the greatest 4-digit no. is 9999
we divide 9999 by 2520 and the remainder is 2439.
Step 1==> we subtract the remainder from 9999.
9999-2439 = 7560
Step 2==> Subtract 1 from 7560
7560-1= 7559 (this is required Ans.)
Note:- 1= C.D of divisor and respective remainder given in ques
9-8 = 8-7= 7-6= 6-5= 5-4= 4-3= 3-2= 2-1= 1

divide the number by 360 we get remainder of 2799
subtract remainder from 9999 we get=9999-2799=7200
then sub 1 from ans=7199...............

LCM of(10,9,8)=360
than divide largest four digit number by 360
i.e 9999/360
we got remainder 279
subtract that remainder with 9999
