  If x is the distance travelled by first train before crossing, then total distance is x+4*24= x+96 kms.

  x/24 = 96/s where s is speed of second train
  and
  x/s=1 as second train took 1 hr to travel distance x after crossing first train.

  so
  s/24 =96/s
  s^2= 96*24
