Akash, Bhanu and Sam work on a project. After they complete 1/4th of the project, Sam takes a break. For 7 days only Akash and Bhanu work on the project. After that Sam relieves both of them. He completes the project in 5 days. Bhanu works 50% faster than Akash while Sam alone can finish the entire project in 20 days, How long would Bhanu take to finish the entire project?

1) 25 days
2) 23 1/3 days
3) 21 days
4) 22 1/3 days

• If 1 day work of Akash, Bhanu and Sam is 1/A, 1/B & 1/C respectively
  3/4 Work remains after Akash, Bhanu and Sam completes the 1/4 work
  Sam's 1 day work=1/20
  As Sam completes the remaining work in 5 days, work done by him=5*1/20=1/4
  So the work done by Akash and Bhanu for 7 days=1 -(1/4)-(1/4)=1/2
  Work of 1 day, 1/A +1/B =1/(7*2)=1/14
  Given Bhanu work 50% faster than Akash So 1/B=(3/2)(1/A) or 1/A=(2/3)(1/B)
  Substituting in above equation (2/3)(1/B)+1/B=1/14 =>1/B=3/70
  So Bhanu can finish the entire work in 70/3 =23 1/3 days
