My mother gave me money to buy stamps of price 2paisa, 7 paisa,15 paisa, 10paisa and 20 paisa. I had to buy 5 each of three types and 6 each of the other 2 types . But on my way to the post office i forgot how many of stamps of each type were to be brought . My mother had given me rupees 3 . So i had no problem in finding out the exact amount of each one . Can you tell me which stamps were 5 in number , n whic were 6 in number

• add all stamp price : (2+7+15+10+20)=54
  sum=54
  since we buy minimum 5 stamps of all types : sum*5 =54*5=270
  then 300-270=30
  so to get 30 paisa more try sum combinations out of (2,7,15,10,20)
  so it has to be 10 and 20

  15paise*5=75 paise
  7 paise *5=35 paise
  2paise*5=10 paise
  now 6 stamps of other two types are:-
  20 paise*6=120 paise
  10paise*6=60 paise
  so total is 75+35+10+120+60=300 paise means 3 rupee.

  So, three types are 2, 7, 15 paisa stamps.
  Amount is 2*5 + 7*5 + 15*5 =120 paisa.
  Two types are 10, 20 paisa stamps.
  Amount is 10*6 + 20*6 =180.
  TOtal amount is 300 paisa i.e., 3 rupees.

  first three types i.e.,(2*5)+(7*5)+(15*5) equals to 120
  other two types i.e.,(10*6)+(20*6) equals to 180
  then, 120+180 equals 300 paise.
