help I need to find the slope for the passes through here is the equation

m=3(1,^2)

this is what I have done but come up with the wrong answer
y=mx+b
y=3x+b
^2=3x(1)+b
than I am just lost I have been having problems solving for x in the following equation.
3x^2+10x+3/x+3=x^2-4x+3/x-1
