I need help in solving square roots. I cannot figure out how to solve for the square root of 57 Help! I am a bit confused!
Here is my problem: "The square of the sum of a number and 5 is 36. Find the numbers."

Are they asking me to find the square of 31? (since 31+5=36)... I am a little lost...
