  work done in 6 pairs of days = (7/48) * 6 = 7/8
  remaining work = 1- 7/8 = 1/8
  work done by A on 13th day = 1/16
  remaining work = 1/8 – 1/16 = 1/16
  on 14th day, it is B’s turn
  1/12 work is done by B in 1 day.
  1/16 work is done by B in ¾ day.
  Total time taken = 13 ¾ days.

  work done by the both in 2 days = (1/16)+(1/12) = 7/48
  no of pairs of days required to complete the work = 48/7 = 6.86
  so total required no of days = 6.86*2 = 13.72 = 13 3/4 days

  Assuming the work divided into 48 parts, the amount of work completed each day forms the series 3, 4, 3, 4, 3, 4, ...
  In 12 days, 42 parts will be finished
  In 13 days, 45 parts will be finished
  In 14 days, 49 parts will be finished
  But since there is only 48 parts of the work, the work will be finished in 13.75 days. Since number of days should be integer, it means answer is 14 days.
