A and B can finish a piece of work in15 days. A and C can take 2 days more than B and C take to finish the same piece of work. The three together can finish the work in 8 days. In how many days could each do the work by himself?

Assume b+c=x, c+a=x+2,
so 2(15*x*(x+2))/15x +15x+30+x^2+2x=8
=> 11x^2-98x-120=0.
x=10,-12/11.avoid negative value .so x=10.
so b+c=10, c+a=12 a=(a+b+c)-(b+c)=8*10/10-8=40 days
