total distence- x, y is distence between A and C , x-y is distence between C and B. Time taken to reach the point C is 12y/x.
after 15 min(1/4h) his speed is improved and become x/12(1+1/5)= x/10.
and time taken to reach the point B from C is x-y/(x/10).
1/4+12y/x+ (10x-10y)/x =12- 1/4
after solving we get x=4y/3

(time taken x distance=x/v+15/60) +(time taken y distance=y/(v+v/5)=(time taken to reached destination=12-15/60 ) ;
x/v+15/60 +y/(1.2V)=12-15/60........................(2);
after solving (1) &(2)
we get x:y=3:1;

so total time taken is = x/(d/12) + 15 min + d-x/(d/12+ 20% of d/12)=12hr-15 min

so d=4x/3

(d1 + d2)/v=12-----------------eqn(i)
(d1/v + d2/1.2v)=(12-1/2)-----------eqn(ii)
after solving equation by putting the value of v in eqn in (ii)
we,get
