- light the first candle on both sides and second candle at one side . one candle which was lighted on both sides melts completely after 30 mins .after that light the other side of the second candle which was already half in its size . second candle melts after 15 mins so total 30+15=45 mins

- First light both the candles one from top and other from bottom....and stop the fire when both reaches the same..this indicates 30 min...and repeat the same process for the next half until both coincide........this gives 15 in.total 30+15=45min

- lit the 1st candle from both sides and at the same time lit the other candle from 1 side....now the 1st candle will completely burn in 30min..since each candle takes 60mins to burn completely.. on the other hand 2nd will be burned to exactly half of it....now burn 2nd candle from other side as well....now this half candle burning from both side will take exactly 15mins...wen d 2nd candle burns completely we can measure 45mins i.e 30+15..45mins...

- Light one of the candle from both sides and other one from one side. Lets say we light candle A from both sides and candle B from one side. Now candle A will burn at double the rate at which B is burning. Now since each candle can only last upto 60 min. candle A will get totally burned in 30 min. Meanwile candle B will be half left. So untill now we have calculated 30 min. and we have candle B that can still last upto 30 min. But we actually need to calculate another 15 min. So we light the candle B from second side as well. In this way the candle B instead of 30 min. will get used up on 15 min. because of double rate at which its burning now. So combined 30 and 15 min. We calculated 45 minutes the required time.

- 1.Burn one candle-1 from both side, when it will come to end,it will be 30 mints, same time burn another candle-2 from one side , As we can measure 30 mints , at 30 mints we extinguish candle-2 ,again burn candle-2 from both side , it will end at 15 mints , so 30+15=45 mints we can measure

- Light 1st candle from both sides. It's gonna burn for 30 minutes. At the same time, light the other candle from one side. That is gonna burn for 60 minutes. As soon as the 1st candle is burnt out, the 2nd candle is burnt halfway. Light the other side of the 2nd candle. The time taken to fully burn the 2nd candle will be 15 minutes.
