a cylindrical vessel 60cm in diameter is partially filled with water.a sphere 30cm in diameter is dropped into it.the increase in the level of water in the vessel is...?
Read Solution (Total 2)
-
- vol. of sphere = 4/3*pi *r^3 vol. of cylinder =pi *r^2* H
now increase in vol. of cylinder = vol. of sphere
since the radius of both sphere and cylinder are same,therefore
4/3*pi *r^3 =pi *r^2* h where h is the increment in the level of water and r= 30 cm
h= 40 cm - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(2)
- ans 5cm
vol of sphere = vol of water raised in the cylinder (water makes the shape of which in it is present)
(4/3) * pi * (15)^3 = pi * (30^2) * h
by solving we get h= 5cm - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
