• height of all equilateral triangles should be 9/2.by using height formula we can compute side i.e
  3* (3)^1/2

  if x is the length of side of equilateral triangle then 4.5=sqrt3/2*x
  so x=3*sqrt3

  So the distance between the parallel sides should be 2*root3*side which is equal to 9..

  Using the above relation, we have

  required length of hexagon=6a=6*3*root(3)=18*root(3)
  so,answer is 18*root(3)
