There is a track made up of two concentric circles . Milkha singh is running form a point on outer circle to another point on outer circle in a straight line with a distance of 24 m but he touches inner cicle once. Find the area of tracksheet ?
I don't remember the option. but (144 Pie square meter) was a option that i selected

R^2 = r^2 + 12^2
reqd area = pi * ( R^2 - r^2 ) = pi *(r^2 + 144 - r^2) = 144*pi m^2

- draw a st. line from a point on outer circle touching inner circle & passing through other end of outer circle. it will be a tangent of length (24 cm) to smaller circle.
draw a perpendicular to this tangent, it will divide tangent in two equal parts.
if 'r' be radius of inner circle & 'R' of outer circle then
R^2=(12^2+r^2)
