• Let CP=rs x
  and x + 80% of x = SP= 900
  on solving , we get x=Rs500 =CP
  
  Now to make P% of 120
  let SP= y and
  apply
  P%= (SP-CP)/CP *100
  120=(y-500)/500 *100
  on solving y=1100

  to make 120% profit, ((100+120)/100)*500=>1100 i.e(220/100)*500=>1100
