circle which circumscribes 3 unit circle which are tangential to each other. what is the circumference of the bigger circle?
Read Solution (Total 1)
-
- 3 unit circle are tangential therefore it makes a Equilateral triangle.
which side is 1+1 =2
area of the triangle is = 1.7321*2*2/4 =1.7321
if we draw 3 line passes through center of bigger circle to center of smaller circle.
then the equilateral triangle divided into three parts.
it means area of these triangles = area of equilateral triangle
3*2*h/2 =1.7321
h= 1.7321/3 =1/1.7321
h is the height of triangle .
in right angle triangle
we have base =1
height = 1/1,7321
Hypotenuse =2/1.7321
radious of bigger circle = 1+ 2/1.7321
here 1.7321 = suareroot of 3. - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
