there is a cask full of milk. E litres of milk are drawn from the cask and replaced with water. this process is repeated. now ratio of milk and water is 16:9. what is the capacity of the cask in litres?

- The ratio is given as 16:9.
let x be the initial qty and assume that the process done in 2 times.
after one replacement proportional of milk left x-e/x,after two (x-e/x)^2,
the ratio is given as 16:9 i.e, milk to water ratio,milk would be 16/9.
(x-e/x)^2=16/9
x-e/x=4/3 [take x=1]
=> 1-(e/x)=4/3
1-4/3=e/x
-1/3=e/x
x=-3E.
for 2 times of this process repetition the answer is '-3E'. similarly, for 3 or more times of repetition of this process, the answer should be decimal multiples of E (example: 2.1467E).
So the answer should be in negative or in decimal points only. So, there is no option like that (Because 'E' multiplied by negative value or fraction only).

- its 100% cannot be determined because 5E represents 5 timess of E quantity which is impossible and 3E represents the same E+9 is also impossible because already cask is full so E+9 is also impossible so the answer is D
