@BRAHMDEEP ANEJA How can you take both unanswered and incorrect answer equal. - 8 years agoHelpfull: Yes(2) No(0)
- Questions answered correctly = 44
Solution:
Let correct answers = x
unattempted or incorrect answers= y which will constitute: (-1/2y) + (-1/4y) = -3/4y to the total score.
Therefore, ATQ,
1*x + (-3/4y) = 34.5 --------a
also x + y = 80 -----------b
putting value of y from b into a
x - 3/4(80 - x) = 34.5
solving this, x= 44 which are the correctly answered questions.

- let the number of questions answere be x,and unaswered or wrong be 80-x
now,
x+(80-x)(-1/2-1/4)=34.5
7x=378
x=54.
