- In new system-
Minute hand covers 360 degree in 90 minutes (18 x 5) .
Hence, Minute hand covers 4 degree ( 360/90) per minute.
Hour hand covers 360 degree in 18 hours.
Hence, hour hand covers 20 degree (360/18) per hour.
OR, Hour hand covers 2/9 degree (20/90) per minute.
Now time is - 15 : 50
The Minute hand would have covered a total of 200 degree (50 x 4) in 50 minutes.
Similarly , The hour hand would have covered a total of 311.12 minutes [15 x 20 + 50 x (2/9) ] .
Hence the angle b/w the hands is 311.12 - 200 = 111. 12 degree.

- In new system hour hand covers 360 degrees in 18 hours.
So 15hr covers 300 degrees [(360/18)*15]
Also minute hand covers 360 degrees in 60 min{since minute hand system is not mentioned in the question)
So minute hand covers 300 degrees in 50 min.[(360/60)*50]
So the angle between the hands is 0 degrees.
