a car started from A to B. After traveling 30 kms in 2 hrs, engine failured, speed is reduced to 1/3....car reaches destination in 30 minuts late..... how far is a to b?

If distance between A and B is 'x' Km, As first 30 Km. is traveled in 2 hrs.,so usual speed=30/2=15 Kmph. and usual time required=x/15 hr.
For remaining distance of 'x-30' Km. speed will be (1/3)*15=5 Kmph.
So 2+(x-30)/5 =(x/15)+(1/2)
