There are two squares ,one larger than the other .The perimeter of the larger square is 44 more than that of the smaller square ,and the area of the larger square is 187 sq unit more than the area of the smaller.Find the sides of the squares.

If a side of larger square=x and smaller square=y, then
4x= 4y + 44 or x-y=11 ---(i) &
x^2= y^2+187 , x^2-Y^2=187, (x+y)(x-y)=187. Substituting (x-y)=11 from (i), x+y=17 ---(ii)
