- Let train A take x hours to reach the point of meeting(let it be P)
Then train B will reach the same point in x-2 hours.
Distance covered to reach P by train A in x hours=Distance covered by B to reach P in x-2 hrs.
80*x=100(x-2)
80x=100x-200
x=10 hrs.
Distance from Nampali=x*speed of train A
=10*80
=800 km - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(25) No(0)
- train A goes 80 km for one hr it start at 2.30. and train B goes 100 km for one hr but it start 2 hrs late.
when A goes 80km. B doesnot go 0km.
when A goes 160km B doesnot go 0 km bcs of 2hr late.

A reaches nampali after 10 hrs. B reaches nampali after 8 hrs. and the Distance between station to nampali will the two trains meet is 800km. - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(20) No(0)
- express A travels for 2 hours initially, covering 160 km.
express B has to cover this distance in order to catch A at a speed of (100-80) = 20kmph [covering 20km of distance per hour w.r.t. express A]
hence, 160/20 = 8 hr
distance covered = 8*100 = 800km - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(12) No(0)
- Distance to be covered by 2nd train = 80*2=160km
relative speed=100-80=20kmph
total time to meet=160/20=8hrs
total distance= 8*100=800kms
- 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(3) No(1)
- 80*2 + 80*x = 100*x
x= 8 hrs
Therefore, distance at which they will meet is 8*100= 800km - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(2) No(2)
- A star at 2:30 And B star at 4:30
so A takes 2 hours more
so A cover distance in two hours =80*2=160;
both A and B move in the same direction so to total speed is a subtraction of distance=(100-80)=20kmph
now they meet after=160/20=8hour
so distance =8*100=800km - 6 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(0)
- 800 km as from 2:30 to 12;30 A will reach and b will also reach 800 km at 12:30

- 800km
after two hour express A will be 160KM ahead of express B.so from that point they will take equal time to meet. so we can equate time for both " A and B" and than we can get 800Km as answer - 7 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- option d)800 km

- This problem we can solve using relative speed concept. The 1st train started at 2:30pm and 2nd train started at 4:30.
so what is time gap=2 hrs.
since 1st train started 1st : in 2hrs it will cover 80kmph * 2hr =160 km
after this 2hrs train 2 started. in relative speed concept we stop the 1st train and take the relative speed of 2nd train is 100-80 = 20kmph (since there are travelling in same direction)
time for second train to meet is 160/20 = 8hr
so the distance from nampali is = 8hr * 100kmph = 800km - 4 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
