Quadratic Equations
What is the distance of the z-intercept from the x-intercept in the equation ax+by+cz=d (I do not remember
the values of a, b, c, d).
Read Solution (Total 5)
-
- ax+by+cz=d =>[x/(d/a)]+[y/(d/b)]+[z/(d/c)]=1
therefore from the above eqation, the distance of the z-intercept froom the x-intercept =sqrt[(d/a)^2+(d/c)^2] - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(8) No(0)
- ax+by+cz=d
=>x/(d/a) + y/(d/b) + z/(d/c) =1
so Z-intercept is d/c. - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(4) No(2)

- ax+by+cz=d can be written as x/(d/a)+y/(d/b)+z/(d/c)..........so x intercept is d/a and z intercept is d/c so distance between them is d*sqrt(1/(a^2)+1/(b^2))....
