• In Cryptoarthematic Problems: we have to assume the given letters to be in (0-9) range.
  Always start from LHS , here the LHS is "S"which will be equal to 1 as it is a carry. now as carry has occured either I=9 or K=9, i am taking K=9, on adding the letters we get 4 main equations:
  S+S=E;< E=2
  S+K=M;< M=0( The number if exceeded my 9 goes on to zero)
  R+L=K(=9);< Possible combinations (1,8),(2,7),(3,6),(4,5), only 3,6,4,5 are considered
  so the answer can be:
  10392,10692,10492,10592.

• sirs+kills=smoke by doing s+k we are getting carry as s so in cryptoarithemetic problems a lot 0-9 to each given word s came as carry so it is 1(s=1)
  at the end s+s=2 so E=2 carry will occur in case max if 1+9 is the case so k=9 so in smoke 10o92 are the values we got until now R+L=9 we know so the max conditions to obtain 9 are (1,8) (2,7) (3,6) (4,5) in which 1,8 2,7 are eliminated because they are already used so chances are there for 3,6 and 4,5 use one set and take the remaining for I+I=O by options we can obtain easily.
