Read Solution (Total 4)
-
- 5x:6x
and 5x+6x=33
so, x=3
present age are 15 and 18
now, 15+x:18+x=7:8
x=6
so 6 is the answer - 8 years agoHelpfull: Yes(3) No(0)
- 5x+6x=33
11x=33
x=3
therfore 5x=15 and 7x=21
therefore, after 6yrs the ratio becomes 7:8
Ans: 6 yrs - 8 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(0)
- 6 years
If present ages are 5x and 6x, then 5x+6x=33, x=3
So their present ages are 15 and 18 years.
If after 'a' years the ratio of their age becomes 7:8, then (15+a)/(18+a)=7/8, 120+8a=126+7a, a=6 - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- assume in x yrs ratio of age becomes 7:8.
5+x/6+x=7:8
x=2 ans - 8 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(2)
