. 1st a story. Then a simple ratio problem. The question was if the ratio of age of two persons is 5:6, sum of present age is 33, and then in how many years the ratio of their age becomes 7:8?

• 5x:6x
  and 5x+6x=33
  so, x=3
  present age are 15 and 18
  now, 15+x:18+x=7:8
  x=6
  so 6 is the answer

  therfore 5x=15 and 7x=21
  therefore, after 6yrs the ratio becomes 7:8
