- I will be referring 5 litre bucket as A and 7 litre bucket as B.
setp-1->Fill A full. i.e. A = 5L.
now pour this water in B , so that A = 0 and B = 5L.
setp-2-> Again fill A fully and pour water in B from A. so now , A = 3L and B = 7L. Now empty B and pour the remaining water of A in B such that A = 0 and B = 3L.
Step-3-> Fill A and pour the water of A in B. therefore A = 1 and B = 7.
So, you got 1 litre water in 5 litre bucket.
Calculations:
Step-1-> A = 5 B = 0 ===> A = 0 B = 5
Step-2-> A = 5 B = 5 ===> A = 3 B = 7 ===> A = 0 B = 3
Step-3-> A = 5 B = 3 ===> A = 1 B = 7 - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(3) No(2)
- setp-1->Fill the 7 lit bucket then,fill the 5 liter bucket from 7 lit.Only 2 lit will left in 7 litre bucket
setp-2->Empty the 5 liter bucket then,fill 2 liter remaining from 7 litre in to 5 liter bucket.
setp-2->Then fill again 7 liter bucket and fill 5 liter bucket with 3 liter (2+3).Now In 7 liter only 4 liter is left.
setp-2->Empty the 5 liter bucket then fill with 4 liter from 7 liter to 5 liter.(7 liter bucket is now empty and 5 liter bucket is left with 1 liter less.)
Step-3->put 1 liter in 5 liter from 7 liter(only 6 liter will be left in 7 liter bucket)
Step-4->fill 5 lit bucket from 7 and there you get 1 liter.
