Time and Work
A can do a piece of work in 10 days, B in 15 days. They work together for 5 days, the rest of the work is finished by C in two more days. If they get Rs. 3000 as wages for the whole work, what are the daily wages of A, B and C respectively
Read Solution (Total 1)
-
- Rs. 300, 200, 250
5*[(1/10)+(1/15)]+(2/C)=1, 1/C=1/12
So ratio of the work done by A,B & C= 5*(1/10): 5*(1/15): 2*(1/12)=3 : 2 : 1
As they got Rs. 3000 as wages, their parts are 3*3000/6, 2*3000/6, 1*3000/6=1500=1500, 1000, 500 respectively, So daily wages of A,B & C are 1500/5, 1000/5, 500/2=300, 200, 250 respectively - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(0)
