Star question asked today in TCS

*how many square are there between 2001....3003 I don't remember the exact series.

Option:
A) 1
B) 4
C) 2
D) 3

• question was -- how many sq. r there in series 2013,2020,2027..........2300
  and anwer is only one that is (47)^2

• why u guys are making it so tricky.. in that question in tcs it was given as clues 44^2=1936
  series was from 2001 to 2300
  45^2=2025
  46^2=2116
  47^2=2209
  48^2=2304 (so exclude 48)
  so ans is 3 (45,46 and 47)

  2) 46*46=2116,again it does not belong to the series use l=a+(n-1)d

  Series is 2013,2020,2027...........2300.the possible squares in between these no. are
  1) 45*45=2025,but it does not belong to the series use l=a+(n-1)d
  2) 46*46=2116,again it does not belong to the series use l=a+(n-1)d
  3) 47*47=2209, this time it belong to the series.

  since it is an ap with common difference 7 so only 47^2 =2209 comes in between the series

• series starts from 2013,2017....upto 2300,
  so if we square 45^2 its 2025
  46^2 its 2116
  47^2 its 2209
  now check for 48^2 its 2304 which is out of range as range is upto 2300, therefore only three square exists. :)

• I think range u provided us is not correct..if it is up to 2304 then answer is 44,45,46,47. total 4 answer is there..just check square of these numbers.
