Ratio and Proportion
a cylinder, a hemisphere and a cone are on the base and have the same height,the area of the curved surface are in the ratio???
Read Solution (Total 3)
-
- in hemisphere, radius = height
so all heights = radius
CSA of cylinder= 2*pi*r*h= 2*pi*h^2
CSA of hemisphere = 2*pi*r^2 = 2*pi*h^2
CSA of cone= pi*r*l = pi*root2*h^2
{ where l = sqrt (r^2 + h^2)= sqrt (h^2+h^2)= root2*h}
ratio = CSA1: CSA2: CSA3
= root2: root2 : 1 :)
