grandpa is writing a book. every morning he starts writing vigorously and fills a lot of pages. but post lunch he goes through all that he's written that far(right from day one) and deletes 1/5th of it. he doesn't write anything more that day. At the end of the day the content of his book is still 20% more than at the end of the previous day. how much percent new content does grandpa write in the morning?

• 50% more or 150% of previous day.
  
  
  If he writes 'x' new pages & post lunch deletes 1/5th of it, so remaining=x-(x/5)=4x/5, which is 20% more than the previous day.
  As 4x/5 is 120% of the previous day, so 'x' will be 120*x/(4x/5)=150% of the previous day.

• let he write X page on first day.Then at the end of day after deleting --->remaining page = X-(x/5)=4X/5.
  Now suppose 2nd day he write Y page,and at the end of day rtemaning page = 4Y/5
  According to question 4Y/5=4X/5+ 4X/5*(20/100)=24X/25.
  ==> Y=6X/5.
  %increase= (((6X/5)-X)/X)*100=20%
  ==>20 %new content.
