- Ten years ago, Added age of family = (Added age of 8 members) =231
After 3 years, Added age of family = 231+ (Increase of age for 3 years) - (age of died member) + (age of new member)
= 231+(8*3)-60+0 = 195
After 3 years, Added age of family = 195 + (Increase of age for 3 years) - (age of died member) + (age of new member)
= 195+24-60+0 = 159
After 4 years (at present), Added age of family = 159 + (Increase of age for 4 years) = 159+32 = 191
So, the current (at present) avg. age of the 8 member family = 191/8 = 23.875 years
so, the answer is "option d. 24 years ". - 8 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(0)
