Time Distance and Speed
The Ratio between speeds of two trains is 5:3. If the first train runs 350 km in 2 hours, then what is the speed of the second train?
Read Solution (Total 5)
-
- 105 km/hr
Speed in (km/hr) of first train=350/2=175
So speed of the second train=175*3/5=105 - 8 years agoHelpfull: Yes(25) No(5)
- if ratio of speed is 5:3 then assume that speed is 5x and 3x
and distance covered by first train is 350 km and time is 2hour
350/5x = 2, so x is 35 after calculation then by the value of x the speed of second train is 105km/h. - 8 years agoHelpfull: Yes(8) No(0)
- 65.625 Km/hr
Speed of train : 375/2=175
Speed of second train is 175*3/8=65.625 - 8 years agoHelpfull: Yes(4) No(17)
- Speed of first train is=5x,
Speed of second train=3x
First train speed is =350/2=175km/hr
5x=175=>x=35
Second train speed is=3*35=105km - 7 years agoHelpfull: Yes(2) No(0)
- V1=speed of train 1
v2=speed of train 2
v1/v2=5/3
in 2 hr it covers 350 km
so in one hr it covers 175km
I.e. speed of first train is 175 kmph
175kmph/v2=5/3
v2=105 - 5 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(0)
