- answer (3) both A and B
A fill the tank in 8 hr
But due to leak it take 12 hr
now A fill the tank in 1 hr =1/8
A fill the tank in 1 hr with leakage= 1/12
so amount of leakage 1 hr= ( 1/8)- (1/12) = (4/96) =(1/24)
Amount of leakage in 1 hr= (1/24)
so total time it take to empty the tank is = 24
( i.e 24 hr = 1 full work done, empty the tank... complete work is always equal to 1) - 8 years agoHelpfull: Yes(2) No(0)
- answer is both a and b
1/8-1/12=x
x=1/24
time taken to leak is 24 hours - 6 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(0)
