There are 2 regular hexagonal pieces of cloth. From 1st piece a circular piece touching all the edges is cut. The second piece is divided into 6 equilateral traingles and then circular piece touching all 3 sides are cut from each triangle. If r is the ratio of scrap generated in 1st cloth to that of 2nd cloth..find 100r......use root 3 =1.7 and pie =3.1
Read Solution (Total 1)
-
- radius of incenter of the the ccircle inside hexagon is root(3)*side/2
and the radius of incentre inside triangle is root(3)*side/6
so there will be 6 equillateral triangle so total area=6*(root(3)*side/6)^2
so ratio r=0.225
hence 100r=22.5 - 7 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
