The average annual income (in Rupees) of some agriculture labours is S and the average annual income of some other labours is T. The number of agriculture labours is 11 times more than that of other labours. Then what will be the average monthly income (in Rupees) of all the labours?
(a) (S+11T)/12
(b) (S+T)/2
(c) (11S+T)/12
(d) (11S+T)/144
(e) None of these

- Suppose no. of agricultural workers be 11x , so the number of other workers is x (Given) .
Total income of all workers = (Average monthly income of agricultural worker * No. of agricultural workers) + (Average monthly income of other worker * No. of other workers)
Total income of all workers = 11x*S + x*T
Total monthly income of all workers = Total yearly income of all workers / 12 = (11S + T)x / 12
No. of Workers = (x + 11x)
Average monthly income of all workers = Total monthly income of all workers / No. of Workers
Average monthly income of all workers = ((11S + T)x / 12 )/12x = (11S + T) / 144
Hence your answer is (11S + T) / 144 . - 8 years agoHelpfull: Yes(21) No(11)
- Let no of other labours X
so, Agriculture Labours would be 11X
Total Number of Labours (X+11X) = 12X
Now Income of Agriculture Labour is S per annum so per Month it would be S/12 per labour
So, Income of all Labours of Agriculture is 11S/12
and Other labours monthly income is T/12
Total income of all labours would be = (11S/12 + T/12)x
AVG = (11S/12 + T/12) / 12X (no of labours)
AVG = (11S + T) / 144

- Average=(S*11x+T*x)/12x =(11S+T)/12 where x in no of other labours

- answer-(d)
no of other worker is x ,
no of agriculture worker = 11x,
total annual income of other worker = T*x
total annual income of agriculture worker = 11 x*S
total annual income of all worker = (T*x + 11 x * S);
average annual income of all worker =(T*x + 11 x * S)/( x+11 x);
average annual income of all worker =(T + 11 S)/( 12);
since it is asking for monthly average income
average monthly income of all worker =(T + 11 S)/( 12) / (12)
average monthly income of all worker =(T + 11 S)/( 144); answer - 7 years agoHelpfull: Yes(2) No(0)
