Answer is 100.
This one is tricky, but if you observe the differences of consecutive numbers

-5, -2, +20, +15, +25, +35

Here we need to split up according to odd-even places.

Even series: -2,+15,+35 hence next would be +58(observe the difference 17,20,23 hence 35+23). Don't worry, it's for even place, we need answer for odd place.

Odd series: -5,+20,+25 hence differences would be +25,+5 and next would be -15 and hence odd place needs to be filled with +10 (i.e +25–15) .

So at last, we need to add +10 to the last place number to complete the list of differences as follows: -5,-2,+20,+15,+25,+35, +10, +58

The series would be 12,7,5,25,40,65,90, 100, 158

The answer for the question is, hence, 100 .
