what is the value of A such that X^2-11*X+A and X^2-14*X+2A will have a common factor?
Read Solution (Total 1)
-
- x2-11x+A-x2-14x+2A=3x-A=0;So A=3x.
Then Substitute A value in Equation 1--> i.e x2-11x+3x
So from here Solve for x value so we get x=8,(x2-8x=x(x-8)=0).
then By observing the both equations since substitute the A value in both eqs we get common factor as 8. - 8 years agoHelpfull: Yes(2) No(0)
