- Answer is 35.
Let the age of Q 10 years ago be 'x'.
That is age of P 10 years ago is 'x/2'
Now Present age of P and Q are 'x/2+10' and 'x+10' respectively.
Ratio of present age of P and Q is:
(x/2+10)/(x+10)=3/4
i.e. 2(x+20)=3(x+10)
i.e. 2x+40=3x+30
i.e. x=10
Now Q's age 10 years ago is 10.
P's age 10 years ago is 5.
Present age of P and Q are 15 and 20 respectively.
Sum of the present age of P and Q is 15+20=35
Hence answer is 35. - 8 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
