Numerical Ability
In the school, 288 students were told to stand in rows. The number of rows are half
the number of students in each row. Then how many students are present in each
row ?
Read Solution (Total 6)
-
- 24 students
Let the number of students in each row be x, then number of rows are x/2
As (x/2)*x=288 => x^2=576 or x=24 - 8 years agoHelpfull: Yes(3) No(0)
- Since the number of rows is half the number of students in each row
288/12= 24
Where 12 is the number of rows
Number of students in each row is 24 - 6 years agoHelpfull: Yes(2) No(0)
- Let no of rows is x.
Therefore no of students in a row is 2x
Now 1 rows has 2x students.
2x^2=288 => x^2=144 => x=12
So number of rows =12
And number of students in each row=2×12=24 - 7 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(0)
- let the number of students in each row be x;
then teh number of rows is x/2;
now x*x/2=288;
x=squareroot(576)
x=24;
number of students in each row is 24. - 7 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- Let no of rows is "x"
Therefore no of students in a row is 2x
So x rows has 2x students each.
Thus total no of students =2x × x= 2x^2=288
That is "x", which is no of rows= 12
And number of students in each row=2×12=24 - 7 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- Here suppose we get x =row and 2x = number of students,
So
X+2X=288
Then 2x^2=288
=>x^2=144
=>x=12
So number of row 12 and students 2x=12*2=24 - 7 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
