- A regular hexagon consist of 6 equilateral triangle. Each of side 6 cm.
So the area of 1 equilateral triangle is = ¼(√3 a2) = 9√3 cm2
The figure formed by joining polygon ABDE consist of 2 equilateral triangle and 4 half equilateral triangle
Which employs area of 4 equilateral triangle.
So, The area of polygon ABDE = 4*(area of equilateral traingle)
= 4* 9√3 = 36√3 cm2 Answer

- AB=36/6 =6
AE=BD= 6√3
area of rectangle ABDE = 6*6√3 = 36√3

- ABDE is a rectangle. So, Area = AB x BD. From hexagon AB=BC=CD=DE=EF=FA=36/6=6cm. BD^2=BE^2-DE^2. Here BE = 12cm and DE = 6cm So BD = 6√3cm now area of ABDE = 6 x 6√3 = 36√3 sq cm.

- its 8.485
reason is when hexagon is make a polygon then two sides are equal in a trinangle the third side is like a hypotenuse then we use the formula p^2 + b^2=h^2 - 8 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(3)
- length of AE=BD= 2*6=12. length of AB=ED=6. Area of ABDE=12*6= 72

- ABCDEF is a regular polygon,hence it consist of 6 equi. triangles.Let O be the center of the hexagon and also the polygon ABDE. AB=ED=OE=OC=6(perimeter of hexagon is given),since OED=OAB are equi. triangle.
EB is a diagonal of polygon ABDE and it comes out to be 12.By pyth. theorem AE=6root3.
Area=AE*AB=36root3 - 8 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
