Read Solution (Total 2)
-
- Humans=50, Horses=24
Let the number of humans be x and horses be=y, then
Total heads= x + y = 74 ----(i) &
Total legs = 2x + 4y = 196 ----(ii)
On solving (i) & (ii), x=50, y=24 - 7 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(0)
- use assuming method:-
given legs=196,
we can write it as 100+96,
now above can also be written as 50*2+24*4,
where 50 stands for heads,2 stands legs and 24 stands for heads and 4 stands for legs.
So, there is 50 humans and 24 horses - 7 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
