A rectangle is inscribed in circle of area pi/2 with radius r,then what is perimeter of rectangle
1)2r
2)8r
3)2sqrt(2)r
4)4sqrt(2)r
Read Solution (Total 1)
-
- Area = pi*r*r=pi/2 (given)
on solving we get;
r=1/root2
Now the diagonal of the rectangle will be double the radius ,since the radius of circle will act as the mid point of any diagonal.
So diagonal= 2* (1/root 2) = root 2
Now using pythagoras theorem we have;
hypotenuse = root 2
so length of sides will be 1.
so perimeter = 2 (1+1)= 4
= 2sqrt(2)r= 2*root 2 * (1/ root 2) = 4 - 7 years agoHelpfull: Yes(7) No(9)
