- it is different let x be the first odd no then x+2 second x+4third x+6 fourth x+8 fifth and so on now according to question mean of first 5 is 39 so (x+x+2+x+4+x+6+x+8)÷5=39 (5x+20)=39×5=195 5x=195-20 5x=175 x=175/5=35 then first 35,37,39,41,43,45,47,49,51,53,55,57,59 are 13 consecutive odd nos it is solution of second solution
