Time Distance and Speed
A yamaha and honda were riding together on a road at a constant speed of v km/hr .in betweeb yamaha stopped for T minutes . The honda continued to travel with the same speed .Yamaha resumed to travel with speed of Y km/hr. It caught up honda after v minutes of resuming the ride.
The maximum speed the either bike can take is 130 km/hr.
Given that v is a prime no. whose square root is greater than 7.
What is the maximum duration of yamaha.
assume that the time for yamaha to slow down and spped up was instantaneous.

- question is unclear.

- distance travelled is same when both meet
honda travelled for T + v minutes
but yamaha travelled only during v minutes
Y . v = v . T + v . v
==> T = Y - v
T = 130 - v
prime number with square root greater than 7 is 53, 59, 61...
T = 77 is max when v = 53 - 7 years agoHelpfull: Yes(3) No(0)
- Y mins
for T relaxation time honda travelled T*v
for yamaha to cath upto honda it needs to travell a distance of v*Y
equate them as now they are in the same distance for a value of v=51
and get T=Y. - 7 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
