  remaing time to reach pune is only 1 hour then bus travels with the speed of 50km/h

• bus start at 3pm with the speed of 60km/hr...so distance covered in 1.5 hr is 60*1.5=90 km
  Now after covering 90km bus halts for 30 mins(0.5 hrs) so upto now the time is 5pm(3+1.5+0.5) after that bus travel at 50km/hr to reach pune at 6pm so time taken 1hr(6-5)...so distance covered in 1hr is 50*1=50km
  so the total distance is 90+50=140km

  => Total distance covered=90KM
  The it had a rest of 30 mins.
  So, Total time=2 hrs till now.
  Then, for remaining 1 hour it travelled with a speed of 50kmph.
  So, Total distance=90(FOr first 2 hrs)+50(Last 1 hour)=140 km.
  So, 40 km is the answer(Option D).

  Here speed of the bus is 60kmph at beginning and moves for 11/2 hours time. So 30 min halt so total time 2 hrs completed.
  Now speed is 50kmph
