1.5m path is to be constructed along the rectangular plot inside. The area of plot is 1400sqm and perimeter of plot is 150m. If the rate of construction is 50 per sq m , find the total cost of construction?

Let rectangular plot's length=x, breadth=y m, then Area=xy=1400 m² ---(i) and
Perimeter=2(x+y)=150 => x+y=75 ---(ii)
From (i) & (ii), x=40, y=35
Area of a path=Area of a outer rectangular plot - Area of a plot excluding path
=1400 - (40-3)*(35-3)
=1400 - 37*32
=216 m²
So rate of construction=216*50=10800
